Spectacular sea views of Lunan Bay from Lunan Lodge B and B

A home from Home - Exclusively Yours

A warm welcome!

Set in two acres of secluded grounds, Lunan Lodge has outstanding views over the spectacular Lunan Bay and Red Castle only ¼ mile away. From this quiet and secluded bed and breakfast, you can explore the nearby towns and countryside, or if you prefer you can just relax in the peaceful gardens and spacious rooms.

We are situated between Montrose and Arbroath (the birthplace of Scotland) in the beautiful county of Angus on the East coast of Scotland. At night you can see, flashing over the headland, the world-famous Bell Rock lighthouse - featured on BBC's "Seven Wonders of the Industrial World".

The oldest part of the house dates back to the 18th century, and retains many period features. The best-preserved room in the house is the Penthouse, with the original plaster cornices still visible. Over the years, the house has figured in many local stories - among many others there's the man who used to live in the pig-pen, and the gravestone which refuses to be photographed. We'd be happy to take you on a tour of the house - see how people's lives have changed over the last 250 years!

Exclusively Yours

Our unique "Exlusively Yours" promise means that you can relax as if you're at home. When we accept your booking, we'll guarantee not to take anyone else. There'll never be strangers in the house. You're in control of who stays.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

We opened our B&B in 2003, and since then we've had a whole range of visitors through our doors. Almost without exception, you have been interesting, entertaining, and a joy to meet. Some of you have become our "friends for life". It's been great.

But all things have their time, and all things have a natural end. New chapters are opening up in both our lives, and unfortunately, it's going to be impossible to follow these new opportunities, and still run our B&B the way it should be.

So, with the greatest of regret (and not a few tears), we now conclude that it's time to finish B&Bing. We've decided not to open our doors in 2012. Lunan Lodge B&B is closed for business.

We've had a wonderful time these last few years, and it's been you - our customers (both occasional and perrennial) - who have made our experience what it was, and who have given us memories to treasure. Thank you.

Jules and Samantha

p.s. just in case you're wondering: Yes, we still live here!
